For the most part in our society today there is a general list of things that happen before you reach your thirties. People will for the most part get their driver’s license, be able to purchase alcohol, find a job, and even possibly get married. These are just a few of the many rites of passage we go through in the transition from childhood or adolescence into adulthood. As we mature we begin to formulate our own views and opinions on things and our opinions have more weight to the adults whom we model ourselves like as we become more educated and develop who and what we want to be. Other things change as well as our bodies grow and develop. It is for the most part common knowledge that throughout the teenage years many young people are jacked up on hormones and are finding themselves changing. Sex becomes a primary topic of interest. And across the nation adolescents are discussing a key topic, losing that V card. And parents are discussing how best to talk to their child about the birds and the bees. But some maybe even most may rely on the schools health classes to give them a little help with this awkward topic therefore health classes across America are promoting abstinence telling their students that the only way to be completely safe is to not have sex at all. But the age at which some kids are losing their virginity is alarming. Their sexual maturity is far outrunning their actual maturity and no one is hitting the brakes.

I completely agree with this. I actually have heard stories of children in elementary and early middle schools that are already interested in having sex. It's scary. It seems as if time goes on, we see younger and younger children behaving more sexually than the year before. I don't want my children to be thinking about having sex in their elementary school years. That's just absurd, and disgusting!!
