So right now I am home alone. I hate being home alone. I’ve always been the weird kid who always thinks that the scary movies are gonna happen to me. And the fact of the matter is they probably are. I’m so paranoid that some creepy crawly man is lurking around my house ready to jump out. THANK GOD FOR MY DOG. At least she will warn me if someone is in the house she’ll bark like a mad woman. When it comes down to it I know that she would do her best to protect me, now if she was trying to fend off a man with a gun I don’t think that would help to much but even when my dad is just tickling me at home she gets in the middle. She doesn’t growl or anything because she knows him but she barks and licks him until he has to quit. I feel if I was in real grave danger this would be much different. The other proof I have is that when we walk at night if someone starts walking towards us and I get nervous her hair goes up real quick and when she wants to be she’s really intimidating. I like this because I’ve never had a big dog until now and I like it. The downside is that I have also never had a dog that sheds. In the winter it isn’t as bad but in the summer it’s impressive that that dog has any hair left on her body

What kind of dog do you have? My family has 2 German Shepherd dogs and they are really protective. You know I heard teacup pigs are also very protective haha
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Logan!
ReplyDeleteI have a German-Husky mix and a Blue Heeler-Black lab mix. They're both extremely protective and it's nice having them protective over my family, but it also worries me that my dogs might hurt someone else. I don't think I've socialized them enough.
I'm the same exact way. When I'm outside at night or if I'm alone in the house at night, I always think there's something out to get me. I'm okay as long as it's day time but I'm the biggest scaredy-cat when it comes to the dark.
I am with you. I live in the country about 10 minutes from our town. If I hear something, there is something to be worried about! I usually only get frightened at night, thankfully. My two dogs act ferocious, but I know that they would just lick anyone to death instead of scaring them.
ReplyDeleteYeah I live in the country too and it is really nice to have the dogs around for protection. Everyone is terrified of our dogs but i guess that could be a good thing. Our UPS man will not get out of his truck unless we come out of the house and put the dogs in. They are protective but they are really nice. I think people see how big they are and are automatically scared of them.
ReplyDeleteI agree Nati is a pitbull mix and she isn't the biggest dog but she can be scary if she wants. She does this thing where she 'smiles' when she sees you and it looks really scary but she is just excited:]
